Description

Atlantis Submarines is Maui’s only submarine adventure and an exciting way to enjoy Hawai’i’s marine life in comfort and safety. While on the short shuttle ride, you might spot humpback whales during whale season (December-April). Once aboard the 65-foot long, air-conditioned submarine, the expert crew will take up to 48 passengers to depths of 100 feet and beyond to view an underwater world otherwise inaccessible to most. The viewports are 20” in diameter for excellent viewing and audio headset narrations are available in English, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, and Korean.

The Maui Undersea Adventure takes you to explore artificial reefs that were installed by Atlantis Adventures to create self-sustaining habitats for fish, plant and marine life. While there, you might see green turtles, sharks, sting rays, yellow tangs, eels, parrotfish, angelfish, and Hawai’i’s state fish, the humuhumunukunukuapua’a. They will also take you to see firsthand, the Brig Carthaginian, a 19th century whaling ship that sunk off the coast of Lahaina and has been adopted by the ocean to support the teeming underwater life.

Atlantis Submarines are the ultimate in ECO tourism and operate with environmental sustainability in mind. The submarines are battery-powered so they emit no pollutants and they move quietly through the water, disturbing no one. While this tour offers unparalleled viewing, they also leave each site untouched, allowing them to flourish on their own.
