Brought to you by the creators of Pacific’O restaurant and Old Lahaina Luau, the Feast at Lele is a beautiful celebration of Polynesian cuisine punctuated by the traditional music and dance of the four Pacific islands: Hawaii, New Zealand, Tahiti, and Samoa. Set against the backdrop of the gorgeous West Maui sunset and the islands of Lana’i and Moloka’i, this royal celebration will inform and delight your senses.
Lele is the ancient name for Lahaina and this luau takes place on the beach where the royal family of Maui would feast and entertain. Unlike many luaus with large table seating, the Feast at Lele offers more intimate tables where you can enjoy the experience with just your loved ones. It is a sit down dinner of five epicurean courses representing the four Polynesian cultures.
Beginning at home in Hawai’i, you will dine on imu roasted kalua pork and lomilomi salmon while the show kicks off with the chants, songs and hula of the Hawaiian islands. Next, this culinary journey takes you to Aotearoa, or New Zealand, to experience the song, dance, and art of the Maori people. Taste harore kumara, stewed mushroom & onion with sweet potato, and miti hangi, braised short ribs, while taking in the exuberant Haka, a Maori war dance. Then, to a very different energy in the representation of Tahiti, with their sensual and titillating dances, feel the romance and majesty of this colorful and exotic culture. Feast on E-iaota, fresh fish in lime juice and coconut milk, and Moa, mango ginger chicken, while you admire the exuberant movements and lavish costumes. Finally, the journey takes you to Samoa, “the cradle of Polynesia,” where the show culminates in the vigorous, staccato Samoan dance and the famous fire knife dance. Enjoy Palusami, coconut cream corned beef, and Stew Figota, seafood stew in coconut, banana cream, and then finish your meal with a delicious, tropical dessert that combines all the best flavors of Polynesia.
The Feast at Lele is a beautiful sensual journey that offers a luau experience in an alternate experience that has a focus on the culinary delights of our four Polynesian cultures. You will leave this feast with an expanded palette and a deeper appreciation of the influences on this tropical paradise.
